Micronesian Legal Services Corporation (MLSC) seeks to increase access to justice throughout
Micronesia, through a network of regional offices in the Marshall Islands, the Federated States
of Micronesia, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, and
Guam.
MLSC is seeking applications for the position of Attorney in our office on Guam, which is
located near the courthouse in Hagatna.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an American Bar Association-accredited law school, possession of a
current license to practice law in a state or territory of the United States, and a current
Certificate of Good Standing, which should not be older than 30 days from the date of
application.
*GUAM RULES GOVERNING TEMPORARY ADMISSION TO THE PRACTICE OF LAW, IF
APPLICABLE
: Pursuant to the Guam Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 9, and the Guam Supreme
Court, Guam Rules Governing Admission to the Practice of Law, all Attorneys admitted to
practice law on Guam, on a temporary basis, shall take and pass the Attorney Examination
administered by the Guam Bar of Law Examiners, within five (5) years of admission. Please see
the Guam Rules Governing Admission to the Practice of Law, Rule 3.01, Application for
Admission by Examination.
General Responsibilities:
MLSC increases access to justice primarily through three strategies: comprehensive civil legal
services, from advice to representation in court; community education; and collaboration. We
welcome applications from attorneys with experience and enthusiasm for advocating for low
income communities using all three strategies.
The attorney will handle a wide variety of civil cases.

Interviewing Procedures: A personal interview or interview by telephone/Zoom/Meet (if off-
island) will be held for applicants who meet the above qualifications.

Work Eligibility: When offered a position, you will be required to provide proof of identity and
eligibility for employment in the United States as a condition of employment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation includes an annual salary dependent upon experience, based on a competitive
pay scale, and generous benefits will be provided.
