Guam Office

The Guam Office of the Micronesian Legal Services Corporation (MLSC) is a non-profit legal services office  which provides high-quality legal assistance to eligible residents of Guam in the area of civil law. MLSC is a  recipient-member of the Legal Service Corporation (LSC) of the United States.

Client Eligibility

Every person, or in limited cases, a non-profit corporation (but not a business) who requests the services of the  Guam Office must first meet the financial eligibility requirements of MLSC. This involves disclosing financial  information such as income and asset of the individual which is entered into the MLSC case management system  to determine if the finances of the applicant does not exceed 125% of the US Poverty Guidelines. Additionally,  the acceptance of a client by MLSC also depends on whether the assistance requested falls within the priorities  of the program and whether enough resources are available.
